In soccer the most important skill to develop is handling the ball with your feet and
legs and body and head. Anything but the hands and arms. I know the title of this page is "Foot
Skills," but it's really about "anything but hands" skills.
There are all sorts of video that you can find that show people doing some
amazing things with a soccer ball that you'd barely be able to do even if you were able to use your
hands.
The overriding fact about this boils down to one thing and one thing only.
PRACTICE
That's it. Really... That Is It!
Keep in mind that most of those "juggling" skills that you see kids doing with a ball will
never be used in a game. But that is not the point. It's the fact that they can do that "juggling" that
makes them comfortable enough with the soccer ball that when they need to do something with it during a game, it
just comes out. They don't have to think about it, they can just do what they need to do and do it right and
do it under pressure.
Here's a fun video for you that show some of the things that people can do with a soccer
ball.
